Dateline:  Browns Chapel

The Phillies took on a tough Giants team on a pleasant evening and after a one run first inning it looked close as the Phillies only led 1-0. In the second the Phillies scored ten runs on the Giants pitcher.  After Will singled and Krish, Isaac and Evan all walked, Michael singled, Sam walked and Kyle, Reece, Krishan all singled and Aidan hit a long double.  Will followed up with his second hit of the inning with a long double.  When the dust cleared it was 11-1.   Sam pitched an excellent third inning and fourth inning and Reece took care of the fifth. The Giants did pick up seven runs in the fourth to make it interesting but the Phillies added three more in the fifth.  Michael pitched a flawless sixth inning with three up and three down and a couple of strikeouts in only fourteen pitches.

Coach Grossman said, “Our offense looked really good today and I liked how we stayed resilient even when they started to come back.  I’m looking forward to our next game.”
