My team had their first game last night. I was so happy to be coaching again. I was a commissioner in London Little League the last three years so the only head coaching I did was for the all-stars. I was a head coach last fall, but the Spring is somehow different. Tryouts, draft, more practices before the season. It was great to back running a team in the Spring — been a long three years. We lost 4-3, but it was close and our team will improve. Funny how I wrote an e-book on coaching that says always have a checklist to keep track of your stuff and what happened at opening day — no checklist. It’s hard as I always end up adding a couple of goodies every season.
